How to make a Canvas of Houses

Wooden canvas
Acrylic paint – cream, burnt orange, brown
Gel medium
Serviette (Houses)
Mesh Stencils
Scraper
Black and white gel pens
Crayons

Paint canvas blending the 3 colours to create a distressed background.

Let dry.

Glue the TOP LAYER of the stencil to the board with gel medium and then carefully paint a coat over the serviette.

Let dry.

Write wording along the top of the houses using gel pens.

Use the mesh stencil to paint the bird and the script background:

Place the stencil in position and apply a blob of paint to the side of the area you plan to stencil.

Now take your scraper and firmly pull the paint across the mesh and lift stencil carefully.

Draw the trees and circles with crayons.
